We drove from Hopewell Cape planning to go to
Prince Edwards Island. There is an eight mile long bridge onto the Island.
The weather was such, that we were not allowed to cross. So we headed south.
Stopped in Truro to witness the tide come in. It rained that evening but we
stood and watched the Tidal bore anyway. It was quite a site.
The tide comes in right before your eyes and if you
stand here long enough, you will see it change
direction and start going out. You can go white water
rafting on the bore if you are brave enough.
From Truro we dropped south to Halifax. Found a
campground, set up camp and drove into Halifax. We wanted to explore the
waterfront but got turned around (lost) and took forever to get there.
By the time we arrived, everything was closing up.
We did find the brewery and enjoyed our visit there.
