Arkansas |
| The first day of 2007 found us
driving across Interstate 40 into Arkansas. We drove off the interstate and
found a wonderful place to call home. DeGray Lake State Park! We had planned
a one night stop on our way to Texas. The place was so beautiful, we settled
in on a site beside a lake, surrounded by birds and wildlife.

| We walked the trails and saw lots of birds
and many, many ducks. |

We took day trips to Diamond Crater State Park and Hot
Springs. Diamond Crater Park is where you can dig for diamonds and if you
get lucky enough to find one, you get to keep it. It was a drizzly and very
muddy day, so we opted to just watch.

After four days, we tore ourselves away from our
site at the side of a lake and headed toward Texas. |
